Hey, I’m Kalle Eriksson, a visually impaired skier on the Canadian Para-Alpine Team. I lost my vision about four years ago to solar retinopathy, but skiing has always been a huge part of my life. Not long after, I met Sierra Smith, a former national team skier, and we decided to team up.
Since then, we’ve been racing together and have had some amazing results — 4 golds on the World Cup, 2 silvers at World Championships, and a bunch more World Cup medals along the way.
We’re now training hard with our sights set on the 2026 Milano-Cortina Winter Paralympic Games, where we’re hoping to bring home a medal for Canada. I’m fundraising to help cover the costs of training, travel, and racing as we chase that goal.

We just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who came out to our fundraiser, and to everyone who donated online. The night was such a success, and we’re still blown away by the support, encouragement, and generosity from this amazing community.
Your contributions go such a long way in helping us chase this dream, and knowing we have such incredible people behind us truly means the world.
Your contributions directly help us cover the costs that come with competing on the world stage and truly make it possible for us to keep doing what we love. More than that, your belief in us gives us that extra bit of motivation every time we step into the start gate.
Right now, we’re packing up and heading out west for a training block that’ll take us through to the end of the month. It’s an important part of our prep before heading to Europe, where the World Cup season kicks off! We’re so excited to get back on snow, keep building momentum, and test ourselves against some of the best in the world.
We’ll be posting updates along the way, so stay tuned if you’d like to follow along. Knowing that you’re all cheering us on from home means more than we can say.
